[Taipei hike]Old Tianmu Hiking Trail/ Anti-網美天母古道賞猴趣
Craving a hike in Taipei but sick of the Instagramable spots? Let me show you Old Tianmu Hiking Trail which has more than 80 years of history.
This hike took us around 2 hours, and as a person who workouts regularly, I have to say~phew! It was quite tiring.
Before we start the hike let me tell you a bit more about this trail.
(no rush, there are 1300 steps waiting for you~)
About Tianmu hiking trail
This trail was constructed since the Japanese colonial period. In the middle of your hike, you will find a Long Black pipe accompanying. This pipe used to convey water from Yang Ming Shan Mountain to Tianmu neighborhood.
From the entrance or during the hike you might find that there are some signs with monkeys on it.
Which means there are chances that you might have them accompanying you! I wasn’t that lucky though…
Before or after the hike, not far from the hiking entrance there is a cafe which I highly recommend you to stop by on your way: Zabu
